so glad you are here! My name is Allison Smith, and I am the pastor of “BUCC.” We welcome you and hope that this website will be helpful especially if you are new to Bethesda United Church of Christ.
We are a caring community of people who seek to put our faith into action, and hope, pray, and work for change in the world. We are a place where there is breathing room to nurture your spiritual life and ask questions, and meet God’s love and grace. In BUCC you will find a community that is here to offer support in the challenges of life and ready to share in all the joys. And last but not least, this is a community where everyone is welcome--children, singles, and families of all kinds—a place where we can all find spiritual sustenance, and God’s love and hope in a complex world.

Green Church Covenant
As faithful and loving people, we believe peace and justice are God's plan for all creation. God, the Creator, calls us to care for, appreciate, and enjoy all of creation. Relying on God, the Sustainer, we strive to live in harmony with all people and the environment by respecting and honoring God's creation. As humble stewards, we commit to deal justly with one another and the earth in all areas of our personal and our church lives.
