Music Ministry

At Bethesda United Church of Christ, music is a vibrant expression of our faith, creativity, and community. It is one of the ways we celebrate God’s presence among us—welcoming all voices, honoring diverse traditions, and creating space for both reflection and joy.

Under the direction of Music Director Valerie A. Higgs, our choir helps lead worship with music that is thoughtful, inspiring, and grounded in our progressive values. The choir gathers on Sunday mornings to rehearse prior to the service, making it accessible for those with busy schedules.

We warmly welcome all who feel called to share in this ministry—whether you are an experienced singer or simply enjoy raising your voice in community. Wherever you are on your musical or spiritual journey, there is a place for you here.
